These are the ears and the process of emotion. It’s a lot of static, like an old radio finding the right station. I hear the foot steps all around me, sometimes sitting in the silence to remind myself of the depth. I can hear a squirrel in the tree top above my home. I can see a hawk in the tree line
and I think I can even see your car from here.
