    23. In Good Spirits: 'Regarding Cocktails' (and How to Be a Gentleman During Quarantine), with Georgette Moger-Petraske

Quarantined at home and missing your favorite cocktail bar? Confused on how to date or dress like a gentleman while social distancing?

To help to keep you guys in good spirits in these ‘quarantimes’, I’ve brought Georgette Moger-Petraske on the the show.

Georgette is a style, travel and spirits writer whose work has appeared in Wine Enthusiast, Departures, Imbibe and Edible magazines. Her best-selling book, the liquid memoir, 'Regarding Cocktails' (Phaidon), is a recipe guide and celebration of her late husband, visionary bartender Sasha Petraske's legacy in spirits and cocktails.

In our chat, Georgette recounts her love story with Sasha, and her inspiration for finishing the book where Sasha left off.  We reflect on Sasha’s rules of gentlemen’s decorum and Georgette offers up some clever tips and hacks for how to stock your home bar, how to live well, and show up for your dates – even while marooned at home.

'Regarding Cocktails' is available now from Phaidon Press or your favorite bookseller. Find Georgette at georgettemoger.com or on Instagram @georgettelillianmp

    22. Rise and Shine: Morning Rituals to Help You Win the Day

Does your morning routine consist of hitting the snooze button 20 times til you’re finally late for work? What about overdosing on the news and social media before you’ve even left the house? How about stubbing your toe on the shower door and cursing at the guy who cut you off in traffic?

Today on the podcast, we’re talking about morning routines, or rituals – and why you need to schedule some reflective time into your morning before the world places its demands on you and your brain.

I share the morning routines of three thought leader, and my mentors-from-afar: Brendon Burchard, Tim Ferriss, and Mel Robbins. Then, I share with you gents my composite adopted version of their morning rituals, and tell you why – spoiler alert! – my morning routine actually starts the night before.

If (like me) you’re someone who doesn’t consider oneself a morning person – this is definitely an episode not to be missed!

    19. How to Spend It: Experiential ROI and the Art of the Splurge

    19. How to Spend It: Experiential ROI and the Art of the Splurge

When you think about designing your space, two considerations likely come to mind: functionality and ROI (return on investment).

We all want to spend wisely, but it’s easy to get bogged down with the pragmatics – bypassing some of the more celebratory design elements that, while seemingly frivolous, make your home an experience to arrive at everyday.

On this week’s episode, I’m walking you gents through the art of the splurge: the procurement of that one piece (or pieces) that, while not necessarily functional, have a huge impact on your emotional and experiential ROI. I also give tips and resources to help you find that perfect piece to confidently invest in.
