How to be a winner? How to win the battle of life? Lessons by Shri Krishna to Arjuna told on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. In these verses from 41-44 from Chapter 2 of the Bhagvad Gita, Shri Krishna explains how one should focus on only one activity in a single pointed manner and not have too many focuses. Otherwise one cannot be truthful to one’s own duty. Diligently focusing on one thing, man has to do His own duty called Swadharma and then do the needful. Whether there is success or failure is not in his hands. The outcomes are always in the hands of destiny. One may not have any control over the end result but one should focus on the action which is His performing the Duty.

There is only One Winner in the Battlefield Of Life. The Bhagvad Gita Chapter 2, Verses 38-40 says that Mahabharata has only One Winner. Even in our own lives, we expect to win or have what we desire but destiny says otherwise. We never get what we want. From the billions who wish to become rich or marry the spouse of our choice, there is only One who gets to do that. Everyone else fails. Shri Krishna says to Arjuna that one shouldn’t focus on results but one should zero on to the Art Of War with an idea of Winning. We plan to win and not to lose but destiny has its own say. No one can say with conviction that they can control the outcomes. Our job is to do our job and not bother about the outcomes.

How should you fight a righteous war? When you are fighting for your own country then you should be dedicated and devoted to fight that war for your own country and not get upset or feign a weak heart. You must fight. Your integrity is at stake and you have to side your own country and fight. The enemy has to fight for its own country. This is a righteous war.

How is it possible to know God? Even the enlightened or evolved souls cannot know or understand God in entirety. Explained by Shri Krishna, Arjuna is beyond understanding or unable to grasp the true meaning of the words. To know that you are a part of the Divine and to experience it are two separate things. How can one in a billion know or understand that is explained here.

Shri Krishna explains to Arjuna that God cannot be seen by humans. We trust and believe that there is a God, who looks after everything in this creation. But to know God, one has to know the manifest or unmanifest domains. Manifest is visible or knowable but unmanifest is unknown. No one can know or understand the True God. He is unmanifest and unknowable. That is called Brahman.
Shri Krishna is both knowable and unmanifest also. In these verses, the explanation about unmanifest is given by Shri Krishna.

Your Soul is eternal but the body dies. No one can cut the soul but can cut the body. You are never born and you never die. Shri Krishna explains to Arjuna why the body can never survive since it belongs to the Mother Nature but the Soul is the God within. It goes on forever and ever. Soul cannot be wetted or cannot burn but the body can. So one should not bother so much about the body.
