Bonus Episode 1 - Big Arm: When Ian Brown got mad, dragging Paul out of a drug house and trouble in Berlin The Paul Ryder Tapes - Sex, Drugs, the Mondays and Me

    • 音樂專訪

This award-winning show charts the life of the late Paul Ryder - founding member and bass player of Madchester legends Happy Mondays - as he tells his story to his ex-wife, journalist Angela Smith. This week we have a bonus episode to celebrate the re-release of Paul Ryder's Big Arm album - Radiator - 16 years exactly since its original release. We hear from all of the Big Arm members including Pete Smith, Danny Short, Daz Gilkinson, Lea Mullen and Chris Connelly aka Double Pudding and Chips. Pete talks about pulling Paul out of a drug house, Danny shares a story about mimicking Ian Brown while the band were on tour with him and Daz talks of a celebrity encounter he'd rather forget. Lea reminisces about touring with Paul during their time with the Mondays and Double Pudding drives the band's gear to a gig in Berlin with Paul's dad Derek. The album is out today - Paul Ryder's Big Arm - Radiator - so get yourself a copy!
