In this short episode, I detail an example of how I confronted a problem with one of my projects (privacy fence). I use this example as a way of talking about how to embrace challenges and speed bumps that will inevitably come with any project (even the most experienced woodworkers will have an issue that arises on a project even if it is super well planned out). The keys: having an open mind and embrace the challenge.

I give a quick run down of what tools I would invest in when starting out with woodworking projects. Really, you only need a few tools to get started, but sometimes you’ll find yourself in situations where you need a specific tool. In this episode, I outline 3 simple techniques when choosing color to make any room or landscape to "pop" and make people say "Wow," "Oh my god your house is so beautiful," and "I love this room!" I've used these techniques throughout my house to make turn it from dull and boring to lively and powerful. I also apply these techniques to choosing color for landscaping, and I give my thoughts on why "lots of colors" is too much color. 

The first episode! I talk about the privacy area in the front courtyard, its origin, evolution, and what’s next for it. I talk about how I went from just wanting to build a structure to provide shade to wanting to build a 12’ tall wall between my neighbor’s house and mine (spoiler alert: that would definitely have broken the law).
