N: I would greatly increase our research staff to look into how healthful diets can reduce cancer risk, improve children’s health, and tackle other vexing health problems. We have a great team now, but I would grow it in a heartbeat.  



Car or Dog?

N: Rat. My “roommate” early in medical school was rescued from a laboratory, and she was the dearest—and may I say, most hygienic—companion one could hope for.  



What do you miss most about being a Kid?

N: Believing that the good guys always win. In our battles with the food industry, for example, I have found you have to fight hard to triumph.



Do You Believe Things Happen For A Reason?

N: Yes. But the reason is usually that we push like hell to make them happen. :)



If you were given a 1-Minute Ad Slot during the Super Bowl that you couldn't sell, What would you Fill it With?

N: A commercial about the real cause of erectile dysfunction. Hint - it’s not performance anxiety.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

C: Well they have those multi-color crayons now that draw a rainbow and I’d want to be one of those, so I can spread happiness wherever I color : )



You find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?

C: I would of course help friends and family in need and then would target specific charities that I felt passionate about - I would also attempt to buy the building I live in & am renting in, so that my neighbors and I could feel safe that we were never going to have to leave.



What was the last gift you received from someone?

C: The last gift I was given was a beautiful Labradorite necklace by my friend & Masseuse Maya Sievert in Cologne, Germany - it promotes strength & perseverance through change, balances the aura and raises consciousness while grounding spiritual energies. It’s also supposed to relieve anxiety and stress …. I never take it off and love it so much!



What’s the last thing you watched on TV?

C: The Walking Dead…. really addicted to that show.



Cat or dog?

C: Cat - her name is Cara and she is super spoiled.



If you could shop for free at one store, which one would you choose?

C: A vitamin shoppe so that I could load up on all the supplements I take daily, plus my Vegan protein powders and treats!



What movie can you watch over and over again?

C: Star Wars



What separates true friends from acquaintances?

C: True friends would have my cell….. they are people you spend quality time with, not just at or through work - true friends are your chosen family.



Do you believe things happen for a reason?

C: Yes - I believe everything happens for a reason - sometimes it takes time to see that. I believe you need to try to look at the positive that will eventually come from what seems to be any negative in your life… Always.



Tomorrow: fate or choice?

C: Fate - I believe there is a plan for all of us that fate has a hand in - if you believe and allow it to manifest - all will be golden.

J: Summer breaks.
