In this 2 part season premiere we do a deep dive into the flip of the switch that happens when your child turns 2 - because that switch flips REAAAAAAAL FAST BELIEVE ME!!!

In part 1 we discuss the age old classification of turning 2..... THE TERRIBLE TWOS!!! What is it about turning two that causes our kids to be so difficult? In these 2 months of reflection I feel that it's the first time a child WANTS more than he/she NEEDS - at least in their minds. In the words of the Rolling Stones, "you can't always get what you want" but when it comes to two year olds, that means you're getting tantrums, tears and a weeee bit of terror!

It's week 103 of #DaddingHard which means we're 1 week away from my 2nd Anniversary as a Dad aka my daughter's 2nd Birthday! But before she turns 2 she's putting that sponge brain to work and is desperate to learn and remember everything she possibly can. That means daddy can't make empty promises about future plans anymore.....

It's week 102 of #daddinghard and I am blown away daily by my daughters seemingly LIGHTSPEED advancements with her language. Conversations - CHECK. Expressing her wants - CHECK. Expressing her emotions...... meeehhh not so much. This daily development might be my favorite this about fatherhood thus far.

Last time we did a deep dive on postpartum depression in dads - which we both experienced - this time though we dive deep into his fatherhood journey. It is week 101 of #DaddingHard (HOLY SH*T!) and we've just started making the conversion to 1 nap. There's A LOT of change that comes with that. Flustered schedules, afternoon crankiness, high volumes or irritability but by god I'll take it because WE GET OUR MORNING SLEEP BACK!!!!
