Brittany Cates is a former teacher who transitioned into the tech industry as a UX designer. With a background in graphic and interior design, she knew that teaching wasn't her forever calling and spent years figuring out what to do instead. Brittany now coaches women through her online business to pursue their career goals and align them with their passions. When she's not working, she enjoys discovering new TV shows, singing in the car and decorating her home.

When pandemic came it gave her a chance to explore, research and shifted her work in a way that more puzzle pieces came together and she ended up pursuing a career in UX Design. In this conversation Brittany shares the process and steps that allowed her to connect the dots to a more fulfilling job that left her feeling happier and has been a positive change in her life. I was most impressed with the openness and thoughtfulness that she brought to the conversation and sharing her journey of becoming less hard on herself and choosing the voices she listens to in her head.
