You know when you meet someone with a similar story to yours and you feel less special?  Yeah that isn't what happened in this episode!  Leo and I are two totally different people that shared similar experiences in the military and it was awesome to see his perspective!

Podcasting is hard!  I mean not physically, but mentally hard.  Not even getting the material! Finding the drive is challenging and I promise to myself that I will do better!  I promise to you that I break promises to myself all the time!

He supplied the Bourbon! My "oldest" friend Alex Przygoda takes some time to have a drink and talk to me about me!  We talk about why the hell I joined, how the Air Force hurt my feelings, couldn't be a cop, short history of the Navy and a little on how meds affect my sex life!

My son Nathan graduated this year and I wanted to get his perspective on his first 18 years of life enduring the military.  He speaks on how me and his mom messed up and how he feels that the military lifestyle has prepared him for the next chapter of his life!  He also dives into how the shooting at Great Mills High School in 2018 has affected him.

Tad Levan is a co-founder of the Facebook Group "The Veteran Collective", a group dedicated to making veterans available to help each other with various challenges throughout the United States.
 In this episode we talk about the effects of suicide on survivors, overcoming challenges after the military and how we can help each other without the need of drugs or alcohol while drinking a cold beer.
I give my personal take on the military's treatment of mental health with the help of a story provided to me by an anonymous follower.
