Dan waxes poetic over the Czech lager renaissance happening in the US over a can of Indelible from Threes Brewing.

Threes Brewing Indelible

STYLE: Czech Dark Lager (Tmavé)INGREDIENTS: Czech Sladek hopsABV: 4.4%IBU: N/AAVAILABILITY: 16oz Cans, Draft (Limited)Stats above taken from the brewery’s can and website.

Appearance

Super dark brown with a beautiful, off-white head.

Aroma

Fruit and malt lead here, with cocoa powder, raisins, dates, and some roastiness.

Taste

Malt sweetness followed by roastiness before leading back into the cocoa powder before finishing on dried fruit.

Mouthfeel

Silky and velvety across the tongue with soft carbonation coating it all the way.

Overall

I love that we are experiencing a Czech lager renaissance in the US right now…please keep them coming, brewers! Pairing-wise, I was leaning towards meat and poultry or the obvious cheese/charcuterie plate, but stew is what my palate was craving specifically.

Cheers and remember:

Life’s a tap…drink up ’til it’s dry.
