Introduction: We want to take time out to remember the Black Americans who struggled and died for freedom and equality in American History. The emphasis is on the heroics and bravery of Black Americans fighting for their freedom, not the systemic racism they had to fight against to become hate month.

Introduction – We want to discuss how to overcome dating relationships that end before marriage. Most people will not marry the first person they date exclusively or cordially; they will go through a breakup.  You will need to know how to process the end of a dating relationship, so you will become a better person and better dater when you begin a new dating relationship.

Overview – Last week we discussed the “The Principles of Coupling.” This morning we want to discuss the 5 Stages of Coupling - Protocol of Coupling. If you’re a single person or a parent who needs to teach your teenager how to couple the right way, I advise you to listen very closely to the protocol of coupling.

Overview – This morning we want to start a two-part series on the 5 Stages of Coupling for Marriage.    America has a divorce crisis.  We talk about the crisis, but we don’t get to the root of the reason for divorce, which is how we couple for marriage. In American culture everyone dates before they marry. Therefore, if we fix how we date we will fix our divorce problem.

Introduction: Today’s message is to remind us of why we exist and the call upon the NWCC family. All that we have taught this first month culminates in our message Vision 2020! – Pray for Comm-unity!



John 17:22-23 (ESV) - Prayer of Unity

v.22. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, v.23. I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

An ongoing requirement for a relationship with God, is the ability to hear and know His voice. A Christ follower is a person who can hear and know the voice of God. This morning we’re going to look at how to hear and know God’s voice through the prophet Samuel’s call of God.



Introduction: Knowing God’s voice is essential

v.22. For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. v.23. But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
