In this episode, we dive deep into what pride really is, what differentiates between the negative and positive connotations of both pride and praise, and what Matt's perspective on the issue is. We also take a look into Matt's insatiable lifestyle, strengthening the mind to endure suffering in all aspects of life, pushing himself to new heights that seem unattainable from the outside.

This week we discuss what we’d put 1000 hours into if we didn’t actually have to do the work, and instead we just get the reward. Then we moved on to discuss our thoughts on immortality.

Whether it be fighting for a first place trophy, battling to the bone for class rank one, or aspiring to start the most successful diaper company, life, to say the least, is a competition. Last week we examined the issue of pride and praise, bringing to light a new discussion on the matter of competition. 

This week we pick up right where we left off on the issue of competition, and question the answer: competition always promotes progress in society. This week, we dismantle competition at both a societal and at an individual level, discussing our viewpoint on the fairness of the system of hierarchy as well as how we as individuals should approach competition.
