Dead Pit (1989)
Instead of healing the, an evil doctor decides to use his mental patients in gruesome experiments, and ends up being killed by a not-quite-so-evil colleague for his trouble. Instead of calling the police like the sensible man he's supposed to be, the doctor just barricade the room to the evil lab and calls it a day. But, proving yet again that it's important to check for a pulse before writing somebody off, several years later the evil doctor miraculously returns for Round 2, along with his now re-animated horde of undead patients.

A group of people go into a cave and almost don't come out....because they spend most of their time getting lost and wandering around in the dark, and fighting and/or running from a large claymation monster with a questionable, sexually suggestive head design.

A group of friends walk into a mysterious wax museum and several of them don't make it out alive. Really, it's just an excuse to watch a lot of horror vignettes that are awkwardly linked together by a very cliche and overreaching narrative involving magic and Good vs. Evil.

The Happiness of the Katakuris (2001)
A man buys a home, and ropes his family into turning it into a charming B&B, but gets discouraged when their very first guest dies. Chalking it up to bad luck, they bury the body in the back yard and try to forget all about it.... Until it happens again....and again....and again. Pretty soon the cute little Inn has become the local unofficial mortuary against their will, and the police are starting to become suspicious, and the already dysfunctional family is forced to band together as things suddenly get way, way worse then they ever were before.
