In Part 1, we start with fundamental questions like: how old is the universe, how large is the universe, and how do we know that the universe started with a Big Bang? We explore how scientists discovered these secrets, and what is still left unknown.
The episode ends with an explanation of what black holes are, and what they might be. -

Released in 2002 on the GameCube and re-released in 2013 on the WiiU, the game had the misfortune of being available only on Nintendo's two poorest-selling consoles of all time. At the time, the cel-shaded art style was heavily maligned by the gaming media. But the game has aged like fine wine, and in this episode, Perry and I explain what makes it so special.
