Interview with Janice!

Janice is one of my favourite fitness trainers in the town. She is always very energetic and encouraging in class!! I feel inspired after listening to this podcast!

For my work, I have shift duties. So, I struggle with the ‘I know exercise is good for my physical and mental health, but I don’t feel like working out’ moment all the time🙈 One thing that I am doing for my mental health is to book my fitness classes once my duty is out and show up for the classes!

I have to admit that I am kind of a perfectionist and have high expectations on myself and others. Sometimes, I am just pushing myself way too much. This causes a lot of stress and anxiety. So the second thing I am gonna do for my mental health is to keep a gratitude journal. I think this gives me the time to reflect and appreciate the world around me. With a grateful heart, I can show myself and others more kindness. ❤️ #youmatter

In the past few months, different things have been happening in the town. Negative energy seems to have engulfed the entire city. Every one is affected in one way or another. I have been trying to cope with all these changes. The third thing I plan to do for my mental health is to take my mind off everything and focus on my own breathing for 5 mins everyday. I believe this helps me to stop overthinking about all those news and enjoy the present moment. ☁️☁️

Awesome Podcast with Janice

Thank you for creating this podcast with Janice! She is my favourite trainer in Hong Kong! I felt so inspired after listening to this podcast to treat myself better and love myself more by becoming more aware of not only my physical health but also my mental health!

The one of the three things I would do for my mental health is to have a grateful heart. I can get impatient and easily frustrated when work was not completed by my subordinates in the standard of quality I expected. Reminding myself to have a grateful heart allows me to relax and treat others with more kindness and patience.

The second thing I would do is to be more forgiving. I can get very self critical when I make a mistake during work which would further affect my mental wellbeing by filling myself with a lot of negativity. Reminding myself to be more forgiving with myself let me become much calmer when I handle stressful situation that I am only human and it is not the end of the world.

The third thing I would do is to switch off my mind and wind down as much as possible and whenever I can. This is the importance of letting go. Whether it is putting things down after a hectic day at work or taking a long break for vacation, this is crucial to achieve mental balance in anyone’s life.
