    Natalija Nogulich Takes Command.

    Natalija Nogulich Takes Command.

Natalija Nogulich may have played a stern character in Star Trek TNG and DS9 as Admiral Nechayev, but she's nothing like that in real life! Nogulich drops rank and tells us about the person beyond the command uniform, giving us an amazing life journey that brought this performer to all parts of stage and screen.
We learn about her time on the set of her Trek appearances, the real-life inspiration her character was based on, her relationship with Picard and if romance was in the cards, and long-term plans for the Admiral that never materialized. From a dancer to an actor, we also hear memories of her first film in "Stony Island," lessons from one of her acting teachers, William H. Macy, stories with Angela Lansbury from "Murder, She Wrote," her time as Berta in Netflix's "Fuller House," how she perfected the art of speaking in accents and more!
Meet Natalija and many other guests at Trek Long Island 2024 this summer in Hauppauge, NY, from May 31 to June 2, featuring celebrity guests from multiple eras of Star Trek shows, authors, artists, podcasters, and more in this epic event. Details on www.treklongisland.com

Margaret Reed Is A Force of Nature

Margaret Reed Is A Force of Nature

Margaret Reed played Dr. Serova in the seventh season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode, "Force of Nature," playing an alien scientist who believes warp travel is doing more harm than good. Today, this veteran performer and advocate takes a look at her career from where it began to the place it is now.
Margaret tells us about working on TNG, the makeup, a day where things went awry, and her take on this character whose outcome didn't need to be as tragic as it was. Plus, going from "the salad bowl of the world," Salinas, CA, to upstate NY for Cornell University, then back to California for Hollywood, tales of working with Jason Alexander in a short-lived sitcom and later on "Seinfeld," her time as Shannon O’Hara for eight years on the soap opera “As The World Turns,” Blossom’s mom in “Blossom,” and her most recent role in “The Equalizer” with Queen Latifah that Margaret says is what she’s proudest of in her entire career.
