You want to become a teacher. And not just any teacher, but a good one. Let’s throw out the manuals and rubrics and get back to the beginning. In this series of episodes I’m going to talk about the qualities that I believe are necessary to call someone a good teacher. My primary audience is college students or others thinking about becoming a teacher. The purpose of the podcast is to provide chunks of knowledge about teaching that I think might be helpful to those thinking about entering the profession. Much of this will already be well known by those already in the profession.

In this episode I’m going to talk about developing content knowledge. My primary audience is specifically college students or others thinking about becoming a teacher.
Listen, the world has gone a bit crazy with AI. People are asking what impact that revolution might have in the future. But we at least know one thing: Before you even start down this path to becoming a teacher: you need Knowledge. Otherwise you and your students will just be staring at each other.
