Voices of Courage with Ken D. Foster and guests James Sweigert and Leonard Perlmutter
Topic: The Courage to Awaken Wealth

Today we discuss transcending how we think about and define wealth in order to create an abundance of it in all aspects of our lives.

We live in a society that defines wealth as how much money you have in the bank. But, I want to tell you that that’s an antiquated and very narrow vision of wealth. Wealth really is a sense of feeling expanded in ourselves. We have a wealth of great relationships, a wealth of health, and a wealth of happiness and joy in our lives.
My first guest, James Sweigert, is a new author, dynamic motivational speaker, and award-winning executive producer and director for film and television who helps others change their stories to transform their lives. He joins me today to discuss the power of the spoken word, the impact of the stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves, and practical ways we can change the stories inside of us that keep us stuck and unhappy.
My second guest, Leonard Perlmutter, is the founder and director of The American Meditation Institute, originator of the National Conscience Month observance, and is a noted educator, philosopher, and author. He joins me today to share the importance of letting our conscience be our guide and how we can use it to control, conserve, and transform our greatest natural resource—the power of our thoughts.

    We Discuss:
Taking a deep dive into wealth, what we think about it, and how we define it
The stories that we tell ourselves that come from events in our own lives
Practical ways that we can change the stories we have that hold us back
How the power of the spoken word can completely shape our lives
Why remaining a victim to the circumstances in our lives is a choice
Powerful words we can use to shift into higher states of consciousness
What National Conscience Month is and what inspired this observance
The Four Functions of the mind and why they’re so valuable to us
How to use the conscience to control the power of our thoughts

“The universe will give you whatever story you tell it, so you might as well make it a good, positive one with a happy ending.” — James Sweigert

    About James
James Sweigert is not only an author and motivational speaker, he’s a successful executive producer and director for film and television.
Over the past 25 years he has built, run, and sold several multimillion-dollar, award-winning production companies. During the same time, he mentored and coached celebrities, rockstars, and movie executives.
The successes in his life were hard-fought; nothing came easy until he changed his story. The youngest of seven, James struggled to be seen and stay safe. He began to be molested at the age of 7. To cope with the chaos and abuse he turned to drugs and alcohol, which led to severe depression and a suicide attempt at the age of 25.
This self-destructive pattern continued until he changed his story – and his life. James has not only survived addiction, depression, homelessness, suicide, and molestation, he has triumphed.
He is a storyteller who was able to understand that how he was telling his own story and the power behind his words could shape his life. He is teaching others the same through his work as a mentor, motivational speaker and “Life Cheerleader.”
James currently lives in Beverly Hills, California with a loving partner, a close community, and an incredible dog, with the ultimate purpose to help others change their stories to transform their lives.

    About Leonard
Leonard Perlmutter is the founder and director of The American Meditation Institute, and originator of the National Conscience Month observance.
He is a noted educator, philosopher, and author of both the award-winning book, The Heart and Science of Yoga®, and the mind/body medicine journal, “Transformation.

Voices of Courage with Ken D. Foster and guest Tom Eddington, https://eddingtonadvisory.com/
Topic: The Courage to Change Everything

Today we discuss the courage to change everything and create a life filled with happiness.

I decided to change things up this week and bring you a special show that’s unlike any of our other episodes. My friend, Tom Eddington, will be hosting Voices of Courage today and interviewing me on my brand new book, The Courage to Change Everything: Daily Strategies and Essential Wisdom to Awaken Your Inner Genius.
Tom Eddington is a Conscious Leadership Expert and one of Silicon Valley’s top business advisors and coaches, and has worked three decades in business as a consultant, educator, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor. He joins me today to discuss how we can all expand our consciousness, increase our potential, and harness the unlimited power of our courage to generate success uncommon to most.

    We Discuss:
Daily strategies and essential wisdom to awaken our inner genius and change our lives
How our beliefs, choices, misinformation, and baggage can cloud who we really are
Why we need astute wisdom and the practice of introspection in our lives every day
The importance of taking the time to acknowledge what is and isn’t working in our lives

“One of the reasons I wrote The Courage to Change Everything is because I know that we need wisdom every day. If we drip in our minds every day astute wisdom, and we start to introspect and ask ourselves that what works, what doesn’t, and what we can do better tomorrow, life gets better and better.” – Ken D. Foster

    About Tom
Tom Eddington has worked three decades in business as a consultant, educator, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor.
He is a student and teacher of board, leadership, and organization effectiveness – focusing on how they grow, achieve, and sustain effectiveness while remaining stewards for their stakeholders.
Tom has lived, worked, and studied on six continents, working with leaders across all industry sectors and organization stages of development.

He has worked with industry leaders and most-admired organizations including HP, W.L. Gore, MBNA Corporation, Royal Dutch/Shell and Taproot Foundation.
He holds B.A. degrees in Business and Psychology and an M.S. degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Voices of Courage with Ken D. Foster and guests, James and Steph Purpura and Dr. Chuback
Topic: The Courage to See the Unseeable

Today we discuss how we can change our perceptions and become the master of our own minds in order to get the results we want in life.

My first guest, James Purpura, is an entrepreneur, a philosopher, and a founder of the company Powerful U, which helps to provide a roadmap for people to master their perceptions and emotions to become the conscious creators of their lives. He joins me today to discuss how our perception determines the course of our lives and how we can take ownership and control of our perceptions to create the life we desire.
My second guest, John A. Chuback, M.D., is Board Certified in General Surgery and Cardiovascular Surgery and is a successful entrepreneur, author, and the founder of Chuback Education, LLC, which offers programs to help people achieve personal excellence. He joins me today to share insight about setting actionable and attainable goals and understanding, navigating, and mastering the mazes of success.

    We Discuss:
Working through disempowering beliefs and connecting deeply with our wisdom selves
Reprogramming our mind and releasing the negative things going on beneath the surface
Accepting our role as the creator of our experiences and taking responsibility for our lives
How we can learn to change our current perceptions so that we can see things differently
Where the beliefs come from that drive most of our actions, emotions, and responses
Uncovering trapped past emotions and processing them in order to create positive change
How our perception works in a limited field and we can only see what we believe is possible
Improving the information we already have so that we are equipped to make better decisions
Why sustainable change can only happen when we are willing to identify and change beliefs
How what we think about is what we are and why our mind is our most powerful tool
Three mental mazes that prevent us from achieving our goals and how we can master them
Why satisfaction often leads to inaction and dissatisfaction can be a powerful creative state

“Your beliefs are being projected on the screen of the world, and that’s what you’re interacting with. So, if you want to change something, you have to go back to the source, which is the belief set, in order to see something differently on the outside.” – James Purpura

    About James
James Purpura, entrepreneur and philosopher, was a homeless drug addict just fifteen years ago. After enduring a personal descent into Hell, he was able to overcome limiting beliefs to build and sell one of the largest construction software companies in the world.
As a part of his journey to success, he and his wife, Steph, built their own personal development philosophy which hinges on the study of perception.
James believes our perceptions define and our world and dictates all of the decisions we make.
He developed concepts called the “Field of Perception” and “Perception Loop,” which explain how we develop the patterns that dominate all of our lives.
These concepts show us how to view our lives differently. They also explain how we are letting our pasts cast a shadow over our futures.
After confirming that their philosophy works, James and his wife created their company, Powerful U. This was a way for them to give back their knowledge to the world and help as many people as possible evolve their lives.

    About Dr. Chuback
John A. Chuback, M.D. is the founder of Chuback Education, LLC, which offers written/audio programs to help people achieve personal excellence.
His passion is to assist patients with weight management, smoking cessation, personal development, and academic achievement through figuring out how to set actionable, attainable goals.
He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Cardiovascular Surge
