Excellent and Fascinating
Thoroughly enjoyed this first season. A very well put together show with fascinating cultural insights, facts and thought provoking questions. If you’re into true crime, pop culture and all things Japanese… then this is a podcast for you. Hosts Shoko and Jake strike a great balance between them in terms of their voices and their storytelling style. Makes a huge difference when it comes to an audio experience. Can’t wait for more!
Voice of the female narrator is hilarious
Having lived in japan and heard of these topics all before, I didn't think Id be into this (netflix’s lucie blackman was old news to me) but the stories are told really well. The female ceo of the yonige company (and her voice narration) are a real highlight.
It gets a little repetitive by episode 6, thankfully covers some new stories after that
