Rev. Dr. Fatimah Salleh discusses Mary's birth story and her own call as a mother of four, as a black mother raising bi-racial children, and as a mothering minister who has found her call in pastoring pastors. Rev. Dr. Salleh has also been doing anti-racism training work within the church.

Rev. Haley hears the experience of Annette Johnson in being a surrogate for a couple who could not give birth on their own. Her pregnancy and experience required waiting and rest to make room for the joy of this little one. She reflects on the joy of Elizabeth who feels hope at the sight of Mary and the leaping within her womb. 

Rev. Haley interviews Rev. Jana Hall-Perkins who is currently expecting this advent season after having a miscarriage earlier in the year. Her perspective on Hannah's story makes space for grief and lament and gives way to hope.

Rev. Haley talks to Jennifer Hogan Jones about her unexpected pregnancy of her youngest son who is diagnosed with down syndrome.
