People tell me India is undergoing something akin to the British Industrial Revolution. Is this true? India has 35 millions street dogs. Some call them Pariahs, others call them Indies and these clever, beautiful, soulful animals are a feature of life everywhere in the sub-continent. In the Mahabharat, King Yudisthira refuses to go to heaven if he can't bring his dog. Fear them or love them, the Indian street dog is India.
