Rynoryder’s Podcast Ryan McCoy

Before we enter production tomorrow, December 11th, 2020, the cast assembled together for the second time, via Zoom, to do a table reading of the screenplay, "Butterflies", written by Ryan McCoy, directed by Kevin Van Stevenson, and adapted from the 2010 YA novel, "Party", written by Tom Leveen!

"Butterflies" takes us inside the head of Becket Montgomery, a high school kid with a decision to make...should she follow in the steps of her deceased mother?  Or, does she tune out the voices in her head, and choose LIFE instead?

Getting a little ansy, as I'm sure everyone else is feeling as well right now, so I decided to start something new!  I'm going to be doing a FULL analysis and breakdown of some of my scripts.  I've realized that the videos I've made where I get into details of my writing, people seem to enjoy, so let's see how these do.  I went through acts 1 and 2 of my script "bugs." and there may be some good insight in here for writers looking for someone diving into specifics regarding scene structure and character development.

 In this vlog, I travel to my favorite part of LA, Hollywood, California!  I have a friend performing at the WORLD FAMOUS, Avalon Hollywood where some of the best DJs in the music industry have performed.  

I came packing with three different cameras, my Canon 7D, BlackMagic Cinema, and my iPhone X.    The night was a blast and I get to now say I've filmed at the Avalon, another historic venue and location here in Los Angeles.
