Why Bad Grades Don't Matter
Why's my hardwork not giving me my 'A' grades! Listen up, bad grades don't matter! Take school from a macro perspective, to learn from mistakes, to reflect, to try out techniques, to discover yourself, to... Grades are a representation of who you are, what you're strong and weak at. I learnt that however much effort you put in your weak subjects, while there may be slight improvements, huge boost in grades are unrealistic. I believe less in the magic of that sudden change, but more in the concrete, practical ways to get a specific grade. Whatever grade we expect has to be realistic, first of all. If you're going for tuition for a weak subject, spending of hundreds of dollars and expecting it will somehow give you that 'A' you wanted. you're wrong. If we are weak at something, we are weak, and everyone has weaknesses. At least, that's what I learnt from my experience. I believe the education system should be more framed around having a better balance between education, social life and developing passion, rather than the obsession over good grades.
