#TNWAQ6 - Rebekah Whitaker. Self-awareness a curse or a blessing‪?‬ That Nurse Who Asks Questions

Is self-awareness a curse or a blessing?

Rebekah and I discuss how Transactional analysis has impacted our relationships and the way we communicate. Transactional analysis is the psychological theory based on social engagement or ‘transactions’ which are analysed from the origin ego state. Self-awareness can be both a curse and a blessing depending on how it is perceived and utilized. On one hand, self-awareness can lead to negative self-criticism and a lack of self-confidence. On the other hand, self-awareness can lead to personal growth and an understanding of one's own thoughts and behaviours. Transactional analysis can help with this by providing tools to understand and analyze one's own thoughts and behaviours, as well as the thoughts and behaviours of others. This can lead to increased self-awareness, which can ultimately be used to improve communication and relationships with others and make positive changes in one's own life.

In this episode, I speak with Rebekah Whitaker, a leadership coach and the host of In Pursue of The Better You podcast. Rebekah talks about how we met, the meaning of transactional analysis, how transactional analysis is transformative in people’s lives and why she loves coaching and transactional analysis. She also shares her journey to self-awareness and the power of self-awareness in people’s lives. Don’t miss a thing on this.
