Mental Health and Suicide Prevention 2021
In the Annual Mental Health and Suicide Prevention episode for Searchlight Rainbow Conversations, hosts Tony and Jaz speak with Special Guest Samantha Wood about her brother Jamie and Jamie's Rule, and how if implemented, this rule could change the statewide Health Care System in regards to the treatment of people presenting with self-harm and mental health concerns. We also speak with Robert Cosgrove about his personal struggles, 'Kay' a front line worker in the Health Care System about her view point on treating people with compassion and in a humane way. We also check in Jane Hopkins, the President of PFLAG+ Brisbane about what the organisation has achieved this year and hopes to achieve in 2022. Then an unplanned treat as Bay FM Board Member, Kay from the Bay drops in to surprise Tony and Jaz with an award.
