The Franciscan Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother of Nebraska City gather with a group of parishioners from St. Mary's and St. Benedict's parishes to read, pray, study, and reflect on the meaning of the upcoming Sunday Mass Readings. Through their Catholic Bible Study, they hope to be able to more fruitfully receive our Lord in Holy Communion each Sunday.
Catholic Bible Study for the 3rd Sunday of Easter, (Year B)
This is a Catholic Bible study for the 3rd Sunday of Easter. Alleluia! Jesus is Risen! He is truly Risen! Let us rejoice in His love and in His mercy. As Jesus continues His journey revealing Himself to His followers, He also grants to us His forgiveness. May we open our minds and hearts to Him, for He loves us so, so very much. Alleluia!
Catholic Bible Study for Passion/Palm Sunday, (Year B)
This is a Catholic Bible study for Passion/Palm Sunday. We are on the brink of the Holiest Week of the Year. We hale Jesus in as our Lord and King and then, we too, call out for His crucifixion, when we sin and want to do our own thing. May our hearts melt for love of Him as He dies for love of us.
Catholic Bible Study for the 5th Sunday of Lent, (Year B)
This is a Catholic Bible study for the 5th Sunday of Lent. We are drawing nearer to our Lord's fulfillment of His greatest gift, the gift of His life poured forth for our Salvation. What an unfathomable thought! How much love does God have for you and me? Well, we will soon find out on Good Friday as He stretches out His arms wide to embrace the world. What a gift!
