The Parable of the Weeds

Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.

God's Word Translation states, “With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you.” Isaiah 26:3. If we are trusting God our minds cannot be changed. The Hebrew word for perfect in Isaiah 26:3 is Shalom; interesting enough the Hebrew word for peace is also Shalom

Why do we give thanks to God in all circumstances?



God wants it.“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). The Lord wants to be thanked for His providence and sovereignty. Jesus wants to be thanked for taking our sin and making us clean. The Spirit wants to be thanked for His guidance and comfort.
