Hello and welcome to a Storm of Hope podcast.  I'm your host, Rebekah Hope Harrison.  It has been a while since I have done a podcast.  I took some time and I'm back.  So here we go.  One of the last podcasts that I did was actually all about what is a real dream and how do you know you have a real dream and not just a fantasy. And I said five ways to know you have a real dream.  So I want to continue that topic today, talking about what is a real dream and how do you know if you have one and how do you get one?

A real dream is a God dream.  First off, it's not a fantasy.  It's not something that you just want to do.  It's something that God has placed in your heart to do.  It's something he's like, Mary placed in you like you get impregnated with it. It's from God. It's not from your own mind or something that you just really want to do.  You know, a lot of people talk about their dreams and this isn't what I'm talking about when I say a real dream.  I'm talking about a dream that has been birthed from heaven.  It's been in and you've been given that seed of hope from God that says, This is what I want you to do.  So that's what a real dream is.  It gets placed on the inside of you through faith, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God to it's not something that you just imagined.  It's not a daydream.  It's not something that you've just been wishing and hoping and wanting it.  It's, you know, that song it's something that God said, hey, this is what I want.  Maybe you heard a still small voice or maybe you heard it like a thunder in your spirit where you just know that you know that you know it's from him.  He speaks to his people.  So if you don't know him, Yahweh, I'm talking about the living God and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then get to know him because he's in the he speaks to his people.  And if you haven't heard him speak to you before and you want to hear his voice, that is something that's available to his children.

A God dream is something that God places on the inside of you.  It's not just something that you came up with on your own or dreamt up.  I talked a little bit about this last time that a God dream actually impacts the next generation.  It impacts beyond just you.  It's not just something that is for your lifetime or just for you.  So that is probably just a fantasy.  If it's just for you, if it's something that doesn't impact others, and doesn't make a positive impact on other people's lives, then it's probably just a fantasy.  If we base our dream on something that we just want to do and think is right, then we are doing what is right in our own eyes.  And we think that maybe what we want is the same is what God wants.  Then it's probably not true because our ways are not His ways.  His ways are higher, his ways are better, his thoughts and our thoughts are not the same.  You guys, what we think is right, it says in in Proverbs 16 verse 25 and Proverbs 14:12.  It says, there is a way that seems right to a man, but it's and is the way of death.  So there's a way that we think is right.  And if we base our ideas or our dreams or our plans on what we think is right, it could lead us to destruction. Isaiah 55:8-9 says For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways.  My ways declares the Lord is the heavens are higher than the earth.  So are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts then your thoughts a real dream is something that God places on the inside of us.  It's something that He puts in our hearts.  It's something that He calls us to do.  Maybe he has spoken to you about something and you've been waiting for the opportune time.  I want to encourage you that it is now. Now is the time.
