Copake Iron Works Historic District Friends of Taconic State Park

This 15 stop walking tour was produced by Friends of Taconic State Park.  It includes the entire Copake Iron Works Historic District.  Begin your tour at the blast furnace located at the Copake Iron Works, 35 Valley View Road, Copake Falls, NY. Then walk back down the driveway towards Valley View Road and on to the hamlet of Copake Falls and back to the Copake Iron Works. 



A leisurely tour should take about an hour. If you add a hike to the Bash Bish Falls, plan on an additional hour.



Cell service is poor to non-existent throughout Copake Falls. We recommend you download this podcast using the free Wi-Fi at the Copake Iron Works Visitor Center. You can connect from outside the museum even if the building is closed.
