Of the various Dark Wizards that have stained Wizarding History, very few have been able to perform the most sadistic of magical rituals: Horcrux creation. In fact, of the long list of dark wizards that have plagued the Wizarding World at large, only 2 or 3 names are known to have successfully created Horcruxes. The most infamous (and obvious) name that comes to mind is Lord Voldemort, who created more Horcruxes than anyone else in Wizarding history. 

The next name that comes to mind is Owle Bullock, a wizard who I just recently made a video on. In that video, I theorized that Owle, who authored ‘Secrets of the Darkest Art’- a book containing any and all information ABOUT Horcruxes, was actually the ORIGINAL Horcrux creator.

And the final (and confirmed) Horcrux creator was a wizard by the name of Herpo the Foul- a powerful ancient Wizard that hailed from Greece.

But one thing I’ve never really gotten in to is WHAT HAPPENED to the Horcruxes of these other Horcrux creators. Voldemort’s Horcruxes were destroyed, we know that much.

But what about Herpo?

If a Horcrux makes you immortal and anchors you to the world of the living, then it could mean that somewhere out there Herpo the Foul…Still exists.

You guys have been asking for it so here it is. Today we’re going to be diving in to WHAT Herpo the Foul’s Horcrux is, WHERE it is, and whether or not Herpo, one of the most powerful practitioners of dark magic to ever live, is still out there.

Rubeus Hagrid, the beloved half-giant, is a character that has captured the hearts of readers and viewers alike. And on the whole, we don’t know THAT much about him. We learn a bit about his past and we pick up some other interesting pieces of info here and there, but a lot seems unanswered.

Which is why he’s the perfect candidate for THEORIES. What *really* happened to his wand? Where did his mother go? And is it possible that HAGRID was ANOTHER Wizard that Voldemort FEARED?

And I think that this BOOK, and the dark wizard that wrote it, hold the keys to unlocking the TRUE secrets behind Horcruxes.

Potion making is no easy feat.  

It requires years of studying, endless practice, and a deep understanding of magical ingredients. Rubeus Hagrid’s FIRST wand was rather bendy, 16” long and made of oak. It has been expressed that those with oak wands usually have an ‘affinity with the magic of the natural world’, that a ‘bendy’ wand signifies a high level of adaptability in personality, and that the significant length of his wand is representative of his large stature and enormous personality. 

You can tell a lot about a person from their wand.

But if you met Hagrid as an adult, you’d just have to GUESS these things about him, because the Hagrid WE KNOW walks around with an umbrella.

Of course, there’s more to Hagrid’s umbrella wand than meets the eye, but the fact remains that HAGRID does not carry a wand in the traditional sense- the main reason being that his wand was SNAPPED while he was still just a boy.

During his third year at Hogwarts, Hagrid was falsely accused by Tom Riddle to have released a monstrous creature on the school that killed a Muggle-born witch named Myrtle Warren. And as a result of this, his wand was destroyed by the British Ministry of Magic.

But the actions taken towards Hagrid always seemed EXTREME and INCONSISTENT. 

Because there was insufficient evidence to prosecute Hagrid, he avoided Azkaban (at least the first time around). But he still somehow landed himself an expulsion from Hogwarts and a snapped wand.
