The Darkest Wizard Still ALIVE: What Happened to Herpo the Foul's HORCRUX? - Harry Potter Theory

The Darkest Wizard Still ALIVE: What Happened to Herpo the Foul's HORCRUX? - Harry Potter Theory

Of the various Dark Wizards that have stained Wizarding History, very few have been able to perform the most sadistic of magical rituals: Horcrux creation. In fact, of the long list of dark wizards that have plagued the Wizarding World at large, only 2 or 3 names are known to have successfully created Horcruxes. The most infamous (and obvious) name that comes to mind is Lord Voldemort, who created more Horcruxes than anyone else in Wizarding history.

The next name that comes to mind is Owle Bullock, a wizard who I just recently made a video on. In that video, I theorized that Owle, who authored ‘Secrets of the Darkest Art’- a book containing any and all information ABOUT Horcruxes, was actually the ORIGINAL Horcrux creator.

And the final (and confirmed) Horcrux creator was a wizard by the name of Herpo the Foul- a powerful ancient Wizard that hailed from Greece.

But one thing I’ve never really gotten in to is WHAT HAPPENED to the Horcruxes of these other Horcrux creators. Voldemort’s Horcruxes were destroyed, we know that much.

    But what about Herpo?

If a Horcrux makes you immortal and anchors you to the world of the living, then it could mean that somewhere out there Herpo the Foul…Still exists.

You guys have been asking for it so here it is. Today we’re going to be diving in to WHAT Herpo the Foul’s Horcrux is, WHERE it is, and whether or not Herpo, one of the most powerful practitioners of dark magic to ever live, is still out there.

    Let’s dive in.

The Most EVIL Dark Wizard You've NEVER Heard Of - Harry Potter Explained

The Most EVIL Dark Wizard You've NEVER Heard Of - Harry Potter Explained

For centuries, the dark art of creating Horcruxes has fascinated and terrified those who delve into the depths of magical history. The common narrative credits Herpo the Foul, an infamous dark wizard of ancient Greece, with pioneering this sinister method of achieving immortality. However, the truth is that the origins of the infamous Horcrux may lie shrouded in even darker corners of history.

The Hogwarts library has a vast collection of magical literature that fills its rows upon rows of bookcases. And beyond that, there exists the ‘Restricted Section’ - a mysterious and highly guarded area accessible only with a note of permission from a professor. This section houses some of the most dangerous and advanced books on dark magic, ancient spells, and powerful enchantments. The books here are often imbued with their own magic, sometimes reacting to the touch, emitting strange noises, or even resisting being opened. It’s a place of both great knowledge and potential peril, where one wrong spell could lead to unforeseen consequences.

But what if I told you that some books were TOO dark and EVIL for the very section CREATED to house dark books?

Stashed away in the Hogwarts Headmasters office lies a book TOO EVIL to be allowed in the Hogwarts Library, one that even the Restricted Section could not contain. This book, which contains pages filled with the darkest and most forbidden spells, curses, and rituals ever conceived, contains magic so potent and malevolent that it could corrupt even the most virtuous wizard.

And I think that this BOOK, and the dark wizard that wrote it, hold the keys to unlocking the TRUE secrets behind Horcruxes.

Join me today as we peel back the layers of the DARKEST wizard you’ve never heard of.

Potion making is no easy feat.

It requires years of studying, endless practice, and a deep understanding of magical ingredients. Each potion demands precision and patience, with the slightest mistake potentially resulting in disastrous consequences. From brewing the simplest healing draughts to concocting complex elixirs that alter reality, potion making is an art that few can master. And those who excel in this field are often revered for their expertise and are sought after for their knowledge and skill.

Only a handful of potion makers have been famous enough to earn spots within history texts at Hogwarts.

And while some became potion makers for money, others devoted their lives to the craft out of pure love. Today, we’re going to be deep diving into the life of arguably the best potion maker of them all.

    Let’s dive in.

The REAL Reason Hagrid's Wand Was Snapped - DARK Harry Potter Theory

The REAL Reason Hagrid's Wand Was Snapped - DARK Harry Potter Theory

Rubeus Hagrid’s FIRST wand was rather bendy, 16” long and made of oak. It has been expressed that those with oak wands usually have an ‘affinity with the magic of the natural world’, that a ‘bendy’ wand signifies a high level of adaptability in personality, and that the significant length of his wand is representative of his large stature and enormous personality.

You can tell a lot about a person from their wand.

But if you met Hagrid as an adult, you’d just have to GUESS these things about him, because the Hagrid WE KNOW walks around with an umbrella.

Of course, there’s more to Hagrid’s umbrella wand than meets the eye, but the fact remains that HAGRID does not carry a wand in the traditional sense- the main reason being that his wand was SNAPPED while he was still just a boy.

During his third year at Hogwarts, Hagrid was falsely accused by Tom Riddle to have released a monstrous creature on the school that killed a Muggle-born witch named Myrtle Warren. And as a result of this, his wand was destroyed by the British Ministry of Magic.

But the actions taken towards Hagrid always seemed EXTREME and INCONSISTENT.

Because there was insufficient evidence to prosecute Hagrid, he avoided Azkaban (at least the first time around). But he still somehow landed himself an expulsion from Hogwarts and a snapped wand.

Today we’re going to be diving in to the REAL reasons for Hagrid’s UNFAIR treatment.
