So I definitely didn't mean to wait this long to put this mix up. It's been ready to go for a few months now just uhm well haven't put it up. With that said the 2nd quarter had some really good albums. K-os, Mos Def, Grand Puba, The Grouch & Eligh all surpassed my expectations. From the the selection was a bit thin but plenty of good music. Artwork is a big nod to Mos Def and K-os.

Ok here we go, I am on path to be caught up by the 3rd Quarter Mix, I'm currently working on the 2nd Quarter Mix and should be done with that by the end of the month.

Have to say there wasn't much in the 1st Quarter. Listened to a good amount of albums but there were only a few really good ones. With that said, those really good ones I enjoyed a lot. Definitely good additions to the collection. The mix itself I'm pretty happy with. Big shout out to Zion I for a great album, the artwork for the mix is heavily based on his album's artwork.

Half a year late but I can say that I'm finally done with 2008. The 2008 Recap mix is on its way, for now here's the Second Half Mix. A lot of good music came out during this period. Not too many strong albums but a lot of good songs. Of course there were some big events that happened during this time as well. Enjoy.

This is a compilation from the first two mixes narrowing down my favorite songs even more. This solidifies the songs I really like and usually results in a more enjoyable listen than the first two quarter mixes.

The difficulty is cutting songs which are obviously good because of size limitation. This results in songs i love having to be dropped as well as folks getting mad because I chose _____ over _____.

The final purpose for this First Half mix is to provide a more condensed mix that replaces the first two. When I post my 3rd quarter mix I will thus remove the 1st & 2nd quarter mixes.

The artwork: I created the artwork as a tribute to three great albums from this year and the artists who made them, Gnarls Barkley, The Roots, Erykah Badu.
