Scratching the surface with City Kitty City Kitty

This week I'm talking with street art collector Craig Hyland. As a street artist it's rare that we get to interact with our audience, so it was great to sit down and talk with Craig. We're discussing how he got into street art and what made him want to start collecting it.

This week I'm in the Catskills talking with my favorite Irishman, photographer Leon Carter. We're talking about our experience working in the photo industry. We're also discussing if it's the right path to peruse your dreams in the art world head on or to get an art adjacent job and work your way in. Also while we're having this discussion our other friends are having a massive bonfire, burning a pile of things we pulled out of Leons barn and half a tree we cut down.

This week I'm talking with Rochester NY based graffiti and collage artist Nova. He has a new book coming out entitled " Graff Fragments, analogue collages by Nova" that showcases 365 collages that he created in 2023. If you're in the Rochester area he has a show of all the collages opening this Friday June 7th 6-9pm at Lumiere. The show will be up for two months, so make sure to head over and give yourself enough time to take in this immense collection of work.

This week I'm back in Staten Island catching up with Chris RWK the night before our collaboration show opened. We're talking about collaboration, the series that's in the show we had and the role that nostalgia plays in our work.

This week is another compilation of the fake advertisements I have at the end of each episode. I've been doing these for the past 61 episodes so I figured it was time to take a min again and highlight some of the great companies that make this podcast possible.
