The short answer is...Exercise does not cause anxiety. Exercise will raise your heartbeat, which is normal. But if you fear anxiety symptoms such as palpitations, it can mimic these symptoms and cause fear in you and that will spark the panic. Exercise is actually extremely beneficial for our overall mental and physical health. Take a listen to learn how you can get back to working out if you've stopped due to anxiety.
