In 2018 more than 300 bands entered 2FM's 'Play The Picnic' competition for a shot at playing Electric Picnic. Some of the 10 finalists of that competition were never played on 2FM. The two acts that topped the text vote didn't receive the studio sessions set out in the terms and conditions of the competition.
