He might have found a planet abundant with water.” I am of course talking about Stewart Raffill’s “The Ice Pirates”. This is the only movie that was ever given government permission to film in the famous Paris catacombs, does the setting give it life? Before we jump into that allow me to introduce our hosts.     Pan's Labyrinth (2006) - Additional Crew Film Review

Your most humble servant, Your Highness. ”Welcome to Additional Crew. Today we bring you “In 1944 Francoist Spain, an imaginative young girl meets a faun who tells her she's a princess and that she must prove her worthiness by completing three dangerous tasks.” I am of course talking about the 20 year old film Pan’s Labyrinth, titled in its original language as El laberinto del fauno. Guillermo Del Toro made his true international statement with this film, and broke onto the scene despite a few solid-to-amazing movies before this. This episode we bring to you ”A soldier trained from birth is deemed obsolete and dumped on a waste planet where he is reluctantly taken in by a community of defenseless, stranded wayfarers.” I am of course talking about Paul WS Anderson’s Sci-fi action film Soldier from 1998. A movie completely destroyed by critics on release and a massive flop, the movie seems to be having a resurgence. Does it earn a spot amongst the better action films of the late 90s?
