Pre and Postnatal Nutrition with Jodie Abrahams (_jodieabrahams)

Pre and Postnatal Nutrition with Jodie Abrahams (_jodieabrahams)

Welcome to another episode of All Good in the Sisterhood!

This week I am joined by Jodie Abrahams and we are chatting about nutrition in the pre and postnatal phase.

Selfishly, I wanted to pick Jodie's brain as I know many of my clients struggle to find the correct advice when it comes to nutrition.  It can be very confusing!

Jodie keeps it simple and succinct in this chat.  We go through the key nutrients and supplements that will help you thrive during pregnancy and postnatal and she offers us some simple and delicious recipes that you can incorporate into your busy day!

This is really a jumping off point and I would encourage you to book in for a consultation with Jodie if you wanted to know more and work with someone at a more individual level.

A little bit more about Jodie:

Jodie Abrahams is a registered nutritional therapist and writer and speaker on women's health from East London.

She specialises in women’s hormonal health from adolescence to menopause, supporting menstrual cycle health, fertility, pregnancy, post-natal health, and peri/menopause. Much of her work centres on the interplay between stress, mood and hormones.

As well as her private nutritional therapy practice, Jodie is a consultant Nutritional Therapist for food-grown supplement company Wild Nutrition. She also writes and speaks as an expert on women’s health, including for Moody Month. Jodie is passionate about helping women to be the experts on their own bodies so they feel empowered to adopt meaningful and sustainable self-care practices.

She is a mum of two.

    Vaginismus with Kat Wilson (@thevagnetwork)

    Vaginismus with Kat Wilson (@thevagnetwork)

Welcome back to another episode of 'All Good in The Sisterhood'.

This week we are joined by Kat Wilson and we will be chatting about a condition called 'Vaginismus.'

Kat is the co-founder of 'The Vaginismus Network', which was set up with Lisa Mackenzie when they connected through Kat's blog.

Kat started her blog 'Hey Vaginismus!' in 2015, after years of feeling alone, embarrassed and ashamed. Her main goal was to meet one other person with vaginismus. Since meeting Lisa, and founding the Network, Kat has lost count of the number of people she has met who have vaginismus, and remains passionate about the power of connecting with others and sharing our stories. Kat is keen to speak about vaginismus to anyone that will listen and has told her story on podcasts and media interviews, as well as to health professionals and students. However, her biggest achievement is shaking off the shame that she once felt. She hopes, through engaging with the Vaginismus Network, that others can do the same.
