DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Tell me a time when you had to step out of your comfort zone to make friends, how did it go?
Have you ever had a moment where your need for perfection stopped you from allowing people to enter into your life or your space?
Have you ever felt like you were the only one initiating a friendship, how did that make you feel?
What would you say to someone who is afraid of the messiness that going deep with people can bring? -

What are some of the right questions we should ask ourselves in order to get unstuck?
Ask yourself why 5x to get to the root of something?
What's the narrative I'm telling myself? Does that line up with what's really happening or might I be assuming? Is there another possibility here?
Is there a lie I'm believing? Or being tempted to believe?
Is my response helping me or harming me further?
Is this a safety issue (physical or emotional)?
If not a safety issue why am I pulling away? Comfort? Easier? Do I not care about the relationship? Maybe I just don't have the capacity right now to handle it differently.
