S04 // E08 Ola Volo
Ola Volo is a Kazakh Canadian artist known for her folklore-inspired work and her depiction of strong women who sit at the centre of their own stories. Travelling to the UK earlier in the year she painted her first mural in the UK. A sassy queen of hearts in Brighton imbuing the spirit of the women of the city, Working with Enter gallery that visit also co-incided with her first print release with the gallery. Her new release is based on the mural she created when she was here last. Speaking to Art Related Noise she talks about the inspiration behind the mural as well as giving us an insight into her wider art practice.

Mr Cenz is an artist known for his large-scale freestyle murals and paintings. Often depicted high on the side of a building, the subjects peer out against a background of abstract swirls and colors. Taking influence from his background in graffiti the work is spontaneous and instinctive. The end result is a kind of futuristic ideal that peers out into the world around.

Dave White - Dave White is an artist known as a pioneer of the sneaker art movement. Celebrating 20 years since he first created artworks on trainers, these were pieces that would make him an international name with high profile collaborations with the likes of Nike and Brand Jordan. To celebrate the anniversary he spoke to a live audience at the Enter Gallery in Brighton.

Charlotte Rose is an artist heavily influenced by 60’s culture and fashion. Her work pokes fun at the marketing of the era. Bringing in familiar imagery and combining it with other cultural icons to create some impactful pop art. Now with two sell out solo exhibitions behind her, she explains how the lockdown had forced her to move away from a successful modeling career into an altogether riskier artistic one. It was a decision that paid off and now her work is an Enter Gallery favorite

Benjamin Thomas Taylor is an artist known for his bright pop art inspired paintings. Mixing a love of colour with an obsession with diagrams and perspective, his work is meant to transport. To move from reality into another world of possibility.
First appearing in season one of the podcast, Ben explains how his work has evolved since then and how his practice has shifted to allow for more creativity and ideas to emerge in his artwork.
