Have you ever been swiping through your dating app of choice, only to be stopped by a hilariously absurd profile? What about one that's ridiculously inappropriate? Downright terrifying? Yeah, me too. So let's talk about it!
We're going to critique bios, discuss where they went wrong and how they could be better, share advice, and hopefully walk away feeling really good about ourselves—or at least about how we present ourselves to the strangers on dating apps.

I don't have much of an introduction for this one, the title says it all. Today we are looking at three increasingly disturbing profiles that play to a potential match's sympathy. Nobody ever swipes right on these guys, y'all. Nobody ever responds to their messages, so they might just have to give up! Cue eye roll... until the ploy for sympathy crosses the line into what very well may be a legitimate cry for help. Let's talk about how to navigate these profiles (spoiler alert: mostly just don't) and how to take care of your own mental health when it comes to the ups and downs of the dating app experience.

I absolutely mean it when I say today's Man of Below Average Credentials is a lot. And yes—we are only looking at one profile today because this bio, comprised of 15(!) screenshots, paints quite the picture of who this man is and what he wants... too bad the takeaway is that he doesn't really seem to know what dating actually is. Join us for the overshare of a lifetime, several exasperated sighs, and tips on how "Ted" might actually attract the kind of woman he's looking for.
