When you get the nod from Dj Mag, Mixmag and Pete Tong all in the space of a month, then you know your on a upward spiral.
Born and raised in East London, everything about Brett Gould’s career so far has been about a unique development of his sound so much so that Brett’s music has been pricking up ears on a rapid basis. During Brett’s rise he has been billed on the same flyers with Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y, Eats Everything, Raffa FL, Sam Divine, Franky Rizzardo, Prok n Fitch, Mike Vale, and Mark Fancuilli, all on the back of a two year residency at the Lightbox in London and various gigs around the city.
Summer 2016 Brett released ‘Body Language’ which was supported by Claude Von Stroke, Lee Foss, Prok n Fitch, Denney & Solardo. This etched him into the ones to watch by Dj Mag. Brett followed up with a release on Riva Stars Snatch Records namely ‘House Music Is’ which was championed by Jamie Jones and Pete Tong. This became the 9th biggest selling tech house tune of 2016 and was still in the Beatport top 100 after 4 months hitting number 4 in the Tech house chart.
With the summer of 2017 well on it’s way, Brett has already had numerous support on Radio1 to the point where he was invited to do the Lights On guest mix for Monki, which she described the mix as ‘Brett absolutely smashed it’. He is now firmly etched on to the club scenes mind with his releases on Leftwing & Kody’s Lost label & The Solid Grooves stable both releases gaining Radio 1 support and smashing the Beatport charts. Bookings wise in 2017 he has supported Claptone, Eats Everything. Jey Kermis, Solardo, Latmun, Detlef & Waff showing he is ready for the top level. With his remixes of Darius Syrossian, Funk D’Void & Hauswerks on the horizon plus his follow up to ‘House Music is’ on Snatch Records coming late summer entitled ‘Believe’. It’s fair to say this is Brett Gould’s year.
