This election I was a part of Agnes Loheni’s campaign for the Māngere electorate. I was given pre-recorded videos to cut and edit into three 30secs or less ads. Intimidated is an understatement. I was scared shitless. These videos were going to be published on an MPs page and potentially shared around in the campaign. So it had to be amazing. So alongside my two brothers with their “inputs and suggestions” we created the ads

Most people think that I just woke up one day and decided I wanted to be a content creator. No. Instead, the second week into our first Lockdown my older brother told me that I'm not allowed to just sit around and stare at the wall. So he hired me to be his personal assistant, which meant I had to do everything that he didn't want to, which included editing and subtitling his video, creating his quotes, creating captions for his videos etc.

After a few videos, I got better at the editing and creating and that became my job.
