    UtopiaFest

This week Brian is joined by Travis and Wayne, the founders of UTOPiAfest.

This year UTOPiAFest takes place on October 14-15, 2022. Building Bands with Todd McCarty - Former Sony Music Vice President and Top Label Manager

This week Brian is joined by Todd McCarty.

When it comes to the music industry Todd has done it all. Raised in the suburbs of Washington DC on a steady diet of 80’s hardcore punk, Todd is a music industry vet currently living in Japan with his wife and daughter. He credits driving a taxi with getting his music business career off the ground. In 1998 while listening to music between fares, he plotted his future one cab driver confessional at a time. He’s been a drummer, a tour manager, label executive, and a VP of Sales for major label Sony Music. While serving as GM and head of sales at Fearless Records for 13 years he was awarded several platinum and gold sales awards. Todd released over 200 cover songs on the “Punk Goes” compilation which has been streamed over a billion times.

While at Sony Music Todd looked after metal label Century Media, and prog rock label Inside Out.
Some of the artists he worked with are: Portugal The Man, Motionless in White, I Prevail, Ice Nine Kills, Plain White T's, Pierce The Veil, Kansas, Wage War, Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil, Devin Townsend, Mayday Parade, At The Drive-in, Body Count, Alesana, The Word Alive, August Burns Red, Sugarcult

Recently Todd started Band Builder Academy - the premiere online academy for musicians, artist managers, and record labels  - where he shares his process and teaches how to build a band from opening act to headlining act.

Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band

Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band

On this episode Brian is joined by Joe Mansman from Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band.
Tune in to hear all about their latest release 'Take It Easy', the history of the band and much more.
Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band are a blistering display of dangerously skilled rock and rollers. Their spirited stompers offer an essence of familiarity to listeners while rarely veering off the road less traveled, and having enough hooks to draw you in like air to the lungs. The group never fails to maintain that haughty and boisterous swagger they've become so well known for since forming in 2014 in Upstate NY.

Check out the band's new song "Take It Easy," written by Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band. It was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Brandon Kapoor at Skyfall Recording Studio,
    Greenwich, NY.
