    An Interview with Woof Cultr

Does language matter when it comes to dogs? Join Mandy from @woofcultr and I for a discussion on why the terms we use when it comes to the relationships we have with dogs and how we train them. We also discuss how some words which are associated with positive reinforcement can get hijacked and twisted leaving the unsuspecting dog lover confused and misguided when searching for a professional to work with.

If you are looking for your next dog professional - you are in luck! Check out www.rplusdogs.com to find out more about the virtual training services I offer!

And if you are enjoying our podcast make sure to leave a review to help us find a wider audience - and spread more of that positive reinforcement around! We love hearing your thoughts, especially is you like what you hear.

An Interview with Sasha Black from @therealdavidgrowl

An Interview with Sasha Black from @therealdavidgrowl

** Trigger Warning **  We discuss child and animal abuse in this episode.

Sasha joins us to give real-life insight into exactly what it is like to be the guardian of a big, strong dog like her Boerboel Dave in a world where you are judged by stereotypes. Alongside this, we dive into how Sasha turned her training journey around from someone who used punishment and intimidation a strong advocate for force/free methods. Sasha also openly discusses her childhood and how it shaped her vision of what she thought love and caring was, only to realize that especially when it came to her dogs she was ultimately doing far more harm than good.

You can find Sasha and her boys on Instagram at @therealdavidgrowl and @hugo_the_hooligan
The rescue Sasha mentions is @projectunderdogrescue
