Title says it all.

It’s all about Martin Ware. Every single interview no matter who it is he’s interviewing he will talk about H17, Venice, Illustrious, Terence Trent Darby, Tina Turner, Glenn, his forthcoming autobiography & the fact that he’s now teaching. Every. Single. Podcast.

These podcasts started out fairly interestingly but they are now tedious. He seems to just have whoever’s he’s interviewing, their Wiki page open in front of him and will ask them questions from that.

No ‘new’ bands interviewed. All 70s & 80s bands. Could interview bands like Parralox & Hurts as an example but no it’s all about his ‘friends’. Tedious.

That cover jacket for his autobiography is a joke. Worst book cover ever? I think so.

Cringey and amateurish interviewing style, but good guests

Ugh … I have delayed leaving a review for this podcast for quite some time now but after listening to the latest episode with Dr. Fink, I feel it is time for me to say a few words. In response to Dr. Fink saying “ Prince would have been great at comedy acting” Martyn replies with “yeah that’s probably a good idea” 😬😂 (?!) It’s one of many examples of him either not listening, not being present or simply being a terrible interviewer. Or all of the above. Add to this your usual fawning sycophantic podcaster with a cheap mic and you’re on to a winner here.
