EP 1: Pea Dineen, Adéle Anderson and Claire O’Reilly A Wee Boost

    • Arts

Welcome to the very first episode of A Wee Boost, a podcast from Dublin Fringe Festival and Project Arts Centre.

Each week we’ll share conversation and inspiration from artists at home and abroad, in the hope of giving you a wee boost whenever you need one.

In this episode, we have the pleasure of eavesdropping on a chat between cabaret and theatre-maker Pea Dineen and Adèle Anderson, the Olivier Award-nominated singer and actress, best known as one third of Fascinating Aïda. During their conversation, they talked about Patti LuPone, Stephen Sondheim and how they both approach creating work.

We also have a dispatch from director Claire O’Reilly who sent us an aural snapshot from Mainz just outside Frankfurt in Germany. She was working there on the play A Family Business by Chris Thorpe and gave us a flavour of the city, the shows she was seeing and things that were giving her a lift.

And our favourite sequin-clad alien siblings, Bourgeois & Maurice, provide a theme tune guaranteed to raise your dopamine levels.

We hope you enjoy!

Cian and Ruth.

New episodes are released on Mondays. Follow Dublin Fringe Festival and Project Arts Centre for all the latest news and updates.

A Wee Boost was produced by Esther O'Moore Donohoe.
