EP 3: Stacey Gregg, Michael Breslin of Fake Friends and Pedro Sepúlveda A Wee Boost

    • Arts

Welcome to our third episode of A Wee Boost, a podcast from Dublin Fringe Festival and Project Arts Centre.

Each week we share conversations and inspiration from artists at home and abroad, in the hope of giving you a wee boost whenever you need one.

The two artists in search of a wee boost in this episode are writer and performer Stacey Gregg and New York based writer and performer Michael Breslin. Michael is also one half of Fake Friends theatre and media company alongside Patrick Foley. Stacey’s directorial debut Here Before starring Academy Award nominee Andrea Riseborough was released in February. Michael and Patrick’s online performance Circle Jerk was a 2021 Pulitzer Prize finalist in Drama. They talked about the size of water bottles these days, the importance of coffee and how they kick start their imaginations when they feel stuck.

In our bite sized Postcards to the Edge segment, we get an audio snapshot sent from Mexico City where Chilean director Pedro Sepúlveda is based currently.

Huge thanks to Bourgeois & Maurice who are the brilliant creators behind our catchy theme tune - guaranteed to have you singing ‘A Wee Boost…A Wee Boooost’ for the rest of your day.

Until next Monday, keep making art!

Cian and Ruth.
