    • History

In a time when being a Muslim in the West is not always a walk in the park, it is sometimes worth remembering that  during World War II, when it looked as if the Nazi's would rule  the world, members of the Muslim community stood with their allied brothers and sisters and fought for liberty.
This episode of Is It Cos Im from Croydon tells the story of one such individual, Noor Inayat Khan. A youthful, stunning, intelligent and artistic muslim women, who did just that.  Fighting the fight for freedom and like so many others risking her future, so that we could enjoy our own.
Sit, listen, drink a cup of tea and hear the story of this brave young women, who fought for the Allied cause and happened to be a Muslim and a person of colour.
