In this episode of the explaining business podcast, I talk about the five things that I learned that made me a better salesperson.

1. Do not overthink!
Start by talking about how I was always a fairly good salesperson that didn’t sell much: I always spent most of my time trying to figure out the best strategy to sell.
2. Learn to love hearing No.
a. Another reason why my sales performance was always hindered was because I was constantly afraid of hearing no.
b. Hearing No means that you’re about to get good feedback, capitalize on that to learn more about yourself and your product.
3. Learn How to say No:
a. Sales is a game of reputation. If you start saying yes to everyone you’ll eventually disappoint a lot of people that you can’t help. And that might bring you some cash in the short run, but will harm you in the long run.
4. Be authentic:
a. Do not try to b******t your clients they usually sense it.
