Reflections on the attack on the Capitol

Reflections on the attack on the Capitol

Casper, Matt and Vanessa don't have any brilliant insights about what happened last week. So in this conversation they turn to Harry Potter and each other to try to sit in the fear and discomfort of what is happening right now as a result of Trump's facism in the US.

Enjoyable but also sincere look at the Harry Potter series

This podcast knows how much the Harry Potter series means to so many people, particularly of a certain generation, and the meaning we get from it. It has the same structure each episode, so doesn’t wander aimlessly like some fan podcasts do. Each week they read a chapter through a theme, then a small passage through a traditional practice of sacred reading, have a fan voicemail, and then bless two characters from the chapter. I definitely pick up on ideas I’ve missed within the books from it.

A different way of approaching things

I’m a book into this podcast and am very much enjoying this reverent way of reading these books. It’s giving me a new appreciation for something that dominated my childhood. Love the varying themes and the open discussion even though it can be difficult to approach a topic like white privilege. Also love the blessings. Thanks guys for my newest podcast addiction.

The Podcast of the Harry Potter Generation

LOVE IT! A brilliant job is done unpacking and revisiting little thoughts that often crop up when reading a book, but disappear without much analysis as you continue reading.
