35 episodes

HODCast is a fortnightly podcast where your host, Derek Carter, talks to people from Dublin (or living there!) ABOUT Dublin, about themselves and, ultimately about what it means to be human.

The show was launched to complement the hugely popular 'Humans of Dublin' Facebook page, created by talented photographer Peter Varga. You could say that Peter does the snapping and Derek does the yapping!

Just like the Facebook page, the aim of this show is to help us all to understand life from other people’s perspectives and to make better, more meaningful connections with the people all around us.

Sometimes guests are well-known and other times they're totally unknown, but they’re always real and always interesting.

Engaging and Heart warming

Listening to the interview with the owner of Bang Bang cafe, made me feel like I was sat in front of the fire in a cosy Dublin pub with great friends discussing all sorts of life's ups and downs. Daniels views are refreshing, and the interview was natural and authentic in its style and voice. Thoroughly enjoyable - look forward to listening to more episodes!

Good for the soul

Wonderful stories and pearls of wisdom from Dublin's ordinary folk. You can't help but feel a little happier at the end of every episode :-)
